Orlando Utilities Commission and Level One to Discuss the Business Case for Cloud Solutions at Cloud for Utilities’ 2018 Summit

MALVERN, PA, November 13, 2018—Level One announced today that it is teaming up with Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) to discuss “Building a Business Case for Cloud Solutions at Orlando Utilities Commission” during the second annual Cloud for Utilities Cloud Summit.

The session is a fireside chat that will feature Jerry Sullivan, CIO of OUC: “The Reliable One,” an Orlando-based municipal utility that has won several national awards for IT transformation, and John Boland, president of Level One, a market leader in cloud-based solutions for billing, payments and customer communications management (CXM).

The summit will be held in Washington, D.C. from November 14-16. The fireside chat, which will feature key inputs into the business case that led to the adoption of OneVIEW®, Level One’s cloud-based platform that OUC is using for billing and CXM, is scheduled for November 15 at 4:30 PM.

According to Sullivan, “With a city that receives more than 70 million visitors a year, we are always striving to exceed customer expectations. Given the significant changes in technology and availability of cloud-based solutions, we wanted to avail ourselves with reliable, resilient, and newer, secure based applications. We also needed faster turn-around time for customer bill presentment and communications. These became key inputs into our business case for adopting OneVIEW along with new opportunities to offer a better customer experience and create operational efficiencies. I am looking forward to sharing these with other utilities at the Summit.”

Less than 30% of utility executives feel confident about customer engagement capabilities. This was a key finding revealed in Level One’s new whitepaper, Proven CX Improvements for Your Cloud Business Case. “In addition to OUC’s experiences, which include both customer and operational benefits, we will share findings from the whitepaper,” says Boland. “It identifies seven modern customer experience challenges, many of which were facing OUC, and why cloud solutions are better than on-premise solutions to solve them.
